Scrupulous
Project 139
For one year I gathered and collected every gas receipt and bit of information about my Honda Pilot. Once the year was over I pulled the information together and compiled this information graphics book visually showing the stats and figures. My goal was to take the mundane and interpret that into a visually interesting collection of information.
Scrupulous is visual eye candy, a visual exploration of typography and image experimentation. I use scanned imagery from the past and present, mixed and layered with hand drawn elements and fonts.
Project 139 was a personal exploration of my faith. I took Psalm 139 (my favorite chapter in the Bible) and took on the challenge of visually interpreting each verse in a form that best represents me in that time and place of my life. I then took these illustrations and turned them into postcards, mailing them to friends and family across the country asking for their response on my visual interpretation of the verse and what it means to them before they mail it back and I place it in the custom made box.
